statistics

I admit, I love that Blogger added statistics. Its fun to see how many hits I get, and where they come from. What I don't understand though, is why I have multiple views of the same post always.

It's not even an interesting post. Three years ago I rambled for a paragraph about my weekend, where we went and what we watched. There are no links or even photos involved. So why, why does that post always have several hits, every day?

makeup

I don't talk about makeup much. mainly i like clothing, and makeup irritates my skin- even the hypoallergenic stuff. so i just don't wear a lot.

Recently i discovered that a certain fashion/gossip web site that i frequent does reader submitted makeup/skin/hair advice.

It's worth a read through.

confused emotions

something i have had to work really hard at is leaving the job at the job. i'm not a workaholic, but i have a hard time leaving the emotional stress at work.
i have been feeling a lot better since i now, rarely deal with the boss that makes me crazy. but still there are things.

yesterday:
-found out several people had been let go over the last several weeks.
-found out the rest of design will be in NYC next week- the exact week i had requested to be there for the children's version of Magic. i found out from one of the assistants, who found out from another assistant, who only knows because her boss decided to tell her no one would be here next week. Oh and my brand is tied for 3rd highest selling out of 6. and i have the smallest line.
-found out my catalog went to print and i never saw it.
-found things re arranged on my office wall this morning, because apparently conversations were had after i left last night.
- continue to find out that changes were made to garments, only when i get a new approval- not when the changes are made, nor am i ever involved.
- oh and my hormones are all wacky with the new meds and I've been a bit of a bitch.

it goes on from there.
that part of me is annoyed.

on the flip side i am way excited about:
- being 4 for 4 on good experiences at Dr.s offices this month. more good experiences than i have ever had in my life combined.
i finally feel like i am moving forward with the efforts to solves my health issues.
-i bought new running shoes, and cant wait for them to get here.
- the figure skating costumes have been great.
- we have dinner reservations for The Mealting Pot Friday night.
- i lost a pound last week. not really significant. but it was nice to see the scale number go backwards 1.
- its spring! there will be warm weather and lots of snow!

this part of me is wildly excited.

i am confused. its stressful being really excited and really annoyed at the same time.

Buffy

We finished watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer last week. All 7 seasons. i dint like the last few nearly as much as the earlier seasons. also, Buffy gets freaky skinny. go watch some of season one, then watch season 7. Hollywood got to her. as it often does with new, young, pretty actresses. one day you look at them and they are these weird emaciated, freakishly makeuped women. it usually means they have lost alot of their charm.

In an effort to see Angel less mopey, we started watching Angel this week. the sun set/ rising flashes to show the change of days is HILARIOUS. who the hell though that shit up?

i ordered the first season of Bones from the library like... 6 months ago. literally. i am still like 14 on the list. they must only own one copy.

company picnic

i just received my official invite for the summer company picnic.

it starts out by proclaiming: FOOD, SUN, AND lots n' lots of FUN!

"The park offers large grassy areas, a large pond with pedal boats [for a fee], lengthy sidewalks, basketball courts, a huge playground, and volleyball nets. Fishing is aloud. Some equipment will be provided but feel free to bring your own "toys" if you wish. Bring plenty of sunblock."

Boy! Gee whiz! a park with grass and lengthy sidewalks! what are we waiting for?

"toys" I'm going to assume we are referring to fishing gear in the sentence.

cant wait.

because i need a title

if you drive a hummer, not only are you not supposed to be parking in the "low emissions" spots, you should not be taking up two of them.

you have to be fucking nuts to have a mini wind chime hanging from your rear view mirror.

i saw an old gray hurse [sp?] with a huge long horn set mounted on the front.

i am more annoyed by the man who got off the bus with a new mop, that i watched drop the plastic wrapper on the ground, literally 3 feet from a trash can. than anything else today. W.T.F.

mm.. spring!

i LOVE coming home in the afternoon, warm, windy and time to jump on the trampoline.

in other news, i saw an old man driving a pink VW bug with "unique botique" lettered on the side.

intresting idea.

maybe i have just been oblivious [that's never happened before] but i have never seen such as thing as this.

i drive by this building everyday. it was empty for FOREVER. then one day there was a sign. Jam Space USA.

basically they have rehearsal rooms, recording space and music lessons. you can go, rent some room time. they have some instruments there- so you don't have to bring your full drum kit every time.

it just seems pretty cool.

from around the house

having fun with new batteries in the camera, and finding to usb cord...

out my front door.
all the houses in my neighborhood, that still have original front doors, have round windows.

chair that broke... due to age, more than the person sitting in it.

omg!!

By mutual agreement, Steven Page will be parting company with the remaining members of Barenaked Ladies. Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn, Ed Robertson, and Tyler Stewart will continue recording and touring together as Barenaked Ladies. Steven Page will pursue solo projects including theatrical opportunities while the band enters the studio in April 2009, and hits the road in the fall.

Page says "These guys are my brothers. We've grown up together over the past twenty years. I love them and wish them all the best in the future."

saw his shadow. whos supprised?

the ground hog did. maybe the problem is that they start this thing too late in the morning?

i would be more excited about the "less winter" thing, if snow was less a part of spring.

none the less, its very spring like this week, here in Denver.
